Who we are

Bytevectorlane is an app analytics consultancy at C12-1, Jalan SS 15/4D, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. This notice explains how we handle personal data under applicable Malaysian data protection requirements, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

Information we collect

We may collect your name, role, company, business contact details, enquiry content and correspondence. During an engagement, we may receive account identifiers, system access logs and limited customer or employee data where necessary for agreed analysis. We ask clients to avoid sharing unnecessary personal data.

How and why we use it

We use information to answer enquiries, prepare and deliver engagements, manage contracts and invoices, protect our systems, comply with law and improve our website where you consent to optional analytics. We process data based on consent, contract, legal duties and legitimate business purposes, as applicable.

Sharing and transfers

We may use vetted service providers for hosting, communication and professional operations. They receive only information needed for their role and must protect it. If data is processed outside Malaysia, we apply appropriate contractual and security safeguards. We do not sell personal data.

Retention and security

Enquiry records are generally retained for up to 24 months. Contract and financial records may be retained for seven years. Project data is retained according to the engagement agreement, then securely deleted or returned. We use access controls, encryption where appropriate and data minimisation, but no online system is risk-free.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access or correct your personal data, withdraw consent, limit direct marketing or raise a concern. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing and may limit our ability to provide a requested service.
